Current status on the GZ9000, 2188 390xp

I might be in the market for a new one of these. Early on when the 390 was new to the market, I remember the full wrap version had a heavy duty clutch and I think a high output oiler. Is this version of 390 still available? And what configuration does that gz9000 come with?

My goal is a full wrap, preferably the straight across jonsered version. I have pretty much given up on auto tune saws, total lack of dealer support around my area. The dealers I do have access to either don't or won't hook saws up to the laptop for resets or diagnosis.

281, 288 is a very good saw, but in a professional setting they suck due to parts availability. Took me a year just to find a full wrap for one.
Reason I am leaning towards the 390 is because parts are interchangeable with 372, like the oil pump, clutch, flywheels, modules.

You happen to know if the gz9000 comes with the HD clutch, 395 style clutch that is?
And where do I buy a redmax from, nobody around here can get em, and after calling some dealers posted on Google search, they sounded least interested in shipping a saw to me.

There’s a guy on eBay selling redmax. HD clutch? I’m not sure it’s just a 390xp saw basically.

Back when you could order a 390 with a full wrap, not as a add on option, Husqvarna called it the west coast kit. Wide clutch cover, big dawgs, high output oiler and HD clutch, not like the clutch that normal 390 and 372 use with those u clip springs.
Ooh and it was pre setup with hard av springs for long bars

It's listed as WA in the ipl, go to Jacks Small Engines, go to the diagrams ad under chain saws look up 390 EPA (2006-10). You can find the HD clutch (which has replaced the old c-clip type), the WA covers, wraps, etc.

The old "c-clip" clutch has been superseded to the HD style, you can get a HD clutch cover in the 572 wrap kit, and the Husky wrap kits are pretty cheap.

That's good to know, I like the old style coil type clutch springs on a work saw.

It might, but the 372 and old-style 390 clutches had different p/n's so I'm not so sure that they'd work.
