Looks like you're getting to hate this digital system as much as me.
What is this, "breakout cable"? Is it just for your zero turn mower, or generic?
So you must have a port you can connect to? That's cool!
You've probably tried disconnecting/connecting the battery from the system to perhaps reset it?
Hate, part of a cluster of emotions that lower my vibrations working on this with very little info to work on this equipment. Use this tool to test the batteries.
Diagnostic Harness
Item#: 725P12545
Here is a link to the part, today being [ Sat May 31 12:29:14 PM 2025 ] pretty sure they will remove this link eventually making things even more difficult to repair.
Process, disconnect both batteries from each other and chassis.
Place a multi-meter in the two opening to check voltage on the breakout harness.
Attach this tool to a battery. It has three connections one for ground, power and whatever data the battery sends out.
There is a three way toggle switch on this tool. Set it in the middle and wait for the LED light to go out on the harness.
When the voltage is below 1 volts, set the toggle to position 1 and measure the voltage of the batter. This is suppose to be the Master mode of the battery. If above 24 volts things are looking good so far.
Place toggle switch in the middle. Wait for voltage to drop below 1 volts.
Place toggle switch in position 2. Test voltage in Slave mode. If you receive the same value as above when in toggle position 1 the battery is fine. If below 24 volts the battery has failed.
Do the above test on the other battery they should be very close to the same voltage.
