@mels :)hello:)
was very generous to him and gave him a few Homies and a MiniMac that he has rebuilt.

He helped me port a 50cc Crapsman that he doesnt know is his yet, and I've decided to give him my 038 Mag but I havent told him that yet either.

The rest will be up to him to source.
Have to teach him the value of planning too !!

FWIW Dan,

I will be blessing you with my presence on Friday the 5th, sometime in the afternoon. I'm taking the day off.

My friend of 45 years is coming up with me. Friends since we were 5 yo-I'm a lucky man.

I may need some fridge space or at least a big cooler for the meats. How much space I have in my Jeep depends on whether or not I'm picking up @Definitive Dave at the airport or not.

Nice Kevin! [emoji106]

Doc, you need a little tag along landscape trailer to tow. Lots of room for stuff and grab wood too.

Lol. I thought Al drove around last time? In any event, looks like it is slowly building with guests! [emoji106]

Great idea Al, I'm sure that he would love to have his own Stihl !
Please work up a price for something he can play with and let me know how much for it. He loves working on saws !

Looks like it's starting to slip off, could just cut plastic clamp off and put screw on 372 clamp on there. Heard that works pretty well if you have one of those laying around and makes easier than the snap on style to remove in future. Hl supply has them cheap I believe

I was thinking that too Mason. Matt said that the whole jug needed to come off to do it right.
I have a Stihl clamp here along with a new rubber intake boot. I might try digging into this tomorrow.

slipping a clamp on there doesn't work. you have the pull the cylinder. thats a 42mm clamshell open port cylinder. though they run fine, they don't have the power the bigger cylinders have. either a 45mm am P&C or the 45mm oem peudo open port, or the oem 346xp jug are the ticket... but it requires a bit of work ... need a bearing cup, jug and slug, new clamp, base gasket, likely best to do bearings and seals, fuel line and filter... who knows what else. that project can get silly Jeff. in all seriousness, you'd likely be better off selling it for parts and getting an up and running 350/346xp... or doing the job yourself.

if you were to mess with it as is....and try to replace as little as possible, that existing jug has an integral lower clamshell. it still needs everything resealed ...bearings etc if it comes off....which is a must at this point. then ya just gotta hope everything else in there is ok.

That's kinda what I was thinking. The saw ran absolutely perfect prior to me finding the plastic clamp. I was looking at the engine tag. I believe it showed 45mm on the tag. Slightly bigger than my Stihl 026 at 44mm.
I might try and dismantle the carb area tomorrow. Piston and cylinder looked perfect.
I'd like to just fix that clamp issue and run it until it blows up. THEN sell it for parts. Lol

Not sure the clamshell is worth it.

won't need a prybar.... your hands will gravitate to a properly done 350 all on their own

This is why I liked my 346xp, no clamshell. Far tougher saw. I still regret selling it :(
