I demand a rematch on the 026 vs. 346/350's.

My saw was screaming in the cut. That chain woulda had a hard time getting through a stick of butter.

Next year in a cant with 3 new chains.

(A chainsaw's race losers last resort-blame the chain...)

I AM the undisputed fastest, hardest, and longest spatula of the day. I'll have a little fun out on the soft grass with the rest of you weenies at the frosted nutz GTG in a few months...

I'm goin to Randy's gtg Dec. 3 and can't wait. Sounds like you guys had a great time.

@paragonbuilder, you can run the hybrid for a bit as long as I get it back in time to go to Tennessee.

Dan, I'm heading down to Sparta the weekend before Thanksgiving to pack up and bring our stuff back, and could deliver that saw to Randy if you'd like.

I enjoy
watching others run them and the grins on there faces.

Big Saws = Big Grins!!!

I know I really enjoyed running that 166, as did my friend John, and that was his first GTG!!!

When I share the details of that saw with him I'm sure it will really make his day, what Lee did with that saw makes porting look tame!

I don't have to have the fastest saws to be proud of them, but I like the competition just the same, it keeps you honest and helps you out in the long run. I love the way my 026 runs, even though it looks like Matt smoked it in that wood. Later in the day, it seemed to almost keep up with CFB's 026 that has the 044 carb and that is the saw that smoked Matt's saw in the cant (And I saw CFB was surprised how well it ran). That was in different wood, and perhaps the angle I filed my chain made it more competitive in the other wood, there are so many variables. Bottom line, I love the way it runs and it puts a smile of the face of anyone who runs it, but no saw is best at everything. I generally use that saw on smaller wood, and I call it my "Lightning Limber"!

Also, 044 #1 was very hard to start at the GTG, and not as impressive as it usually is. So today I changed the fuel filter, air filter and plug. She popped on the 3rd pull (as opposed to over a dozen at the GTG) and fells better, so lesson learned. Many of us who use our saws generally don't change things till we realize we should!

I also noted that Eric was not super impressed with my 044#1 (see above), but thought my 440 did great after I did the square file sharpening demonstration on it. In timed tests I've done in the past, 044#1 smoked the 440, but I like em both.

The sharing of knowledge and opportunity to run such a wide range of saws is priceless. For example, the hybrids at this GTG have given me a new flavor of CAD!

I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did, like a kid in a Candy store!

The 394 of mine you ran was ported....just fyi.

And yes....I had a smile from.when I woke up to when I went to sleep....that's what these gtgs are designed for.
When you get these 394 cylinders back when someone runs one of them you won't have to tell them it's ported. They will know. Lol

394 is my favorite husky

Jason. What are you getting for compression on these 394's, and 395's? You using your newer lower compression theories or your older higher compression recipe?

There very high compression.
For whatever reason they like it where a stihl don't. I don't know what the 395 is but this is the 394.
