ok.
just so the truth is out there....I only ran two saws.
My 440 that Al ported ( with a crappy RM Chain- the one that was originally on the saw before meeting Dr. Mayhem's Special Surgical Service)
and Sondre's ( @SOS Ridgerider )Dolmar 421. That's all. My ADD kicked in real bad and refused to let me focus. attention is limited when you have "fun" over load.

I was there to finally see my buddies that I hang out with all the time yet never met.....

It isn't easy to describe what the heck we had so much fun doing for the weekend to "regular" people. they just stare at me with a blank look when I tell them I drove over 6 hours( out and back) to run two saws and meet a bunch of guys that like running saws.

Also the best thing for me was when Lee asked Huskyboys dad if he( mason) could run the cart saw. Mason smiled for the next three hours...you could not pry that smile off the kids face with a torch and a flywheel remover tool. ( Stihl tool please)
he was running saws wayyyy into the darkness when is less "youthfull"...ok us old bastages had given up...

MASON FOR PRESIDENT of PISS "RUN" MAFIA !!!!
Well said Angelo well said. You are a funny guy and enjoyed being around you! I sound like a broken record but wish you guys were local so I could hang out more often.

I always tell people some guys like to drive their beemer or Porsche on the weekend... Or watch football in the man cave... Me, I'm happy running a saw!

Angelo, was definitely a pleasure to meet you, and that 440 Al did ran like it had full chisel with semi chisel!

Would really like to have seen it with square file, I think it would have been very impressive.

Sorry to hear you did not run more saws, at least one of Lee's and the Unicorn!!! Next time!

Angelo graciously left his Silvey square grinder for me to mess with!

Thank you Angelo!

In all fairness to Silvey, we had not a clue how to set up the darn thing. If anybody has ANY advice or vids or colored crayon drawings to forward please do. It sure make "converts" out of a lot of operators though.

Have fun with it Dan and Sondre.
And if anyone talks to Shawn Carr ask him to chime in.

Props back at 'cha big E
I had fun listening to you and Bill discussing the finer points about the saw dynos. Listening to a computer guy talk to an engineering guy makes us Sales guys thinking y'all need to learn some "English".. :)

Eric, let me know when you do the deal on that 044. I know you want it, you know you need it!
Mike you will be 1st to know. Glad you got to run it. Did you see @huskyboy Mason's red lever 044? Mint condition and I think 10mm. I think you did and noticed the slanted cylinder fins... Probably KS with the markings. These are all built originally at factory in Germany I think. The stihl guy who looked up the one I have mentioned Germany origin. I have a new respect for Stihl saws!

That rocked chain on the 044 still cutting great today. Cut a couple cookies by my shed today before putting it away. 25 strokes per tooth and dropped the depth gauges 3 strokes and she's on the money.

@SOS Ridgerider (Sondre),
How did the homemade bar hold up?
It held up just fine. It's more than stiff enough. I did a few cuts with it pretty much buried, and the cuts are all straight. No bending or funny stuff at all. The finish is still good too. Can't tell it's been used. It's very well balanced on my Makita and 7910.
