yup, just what I was thinkin.... pretty sure that is a 1990 saw...which means likely 87 carb. I tried zooming in on the ID tag... doesn't have a great pic of the id tag :(

I would bet the farm that is 90 or 91 with KS and 87 carb.
One major clue is the 262 XP Professional sticker on the starter instead of 262 XP Air Injection.
I've only seen now 3 saws with that -- my 1991, another one recently posted in the 262 KS 87 thread, and now this one!

It's not far from me... very tempting to snag it!

You could probably offer $100 less and meet him in the middle at an even $3 bills. Are these saws really that good? What are they comparable to in a Stihl?

It's at a store. I know the place. I'm broke right now or I'd jump on it...

Sounds like there will be some pretty awesome saws.
I'm planning on bringing a few of my toys.

Nothing but stihls in my toy box.

I didn't know you had that Dan? Make that 4 that I've seen w/ 262 XP "Professional"

What year is that one Dan? 1991? You covered up the serial plate in pic!
Another overkill saw for cutting foam Dan... :)

262XP with:

HDA-87 -- +$
KS Cylinder no decomp -- +$
Secret compartment cover intact -- +$

Mine is the odd ball with no secret compartment rear handle/tank. 99% sure original handle being original owner.

@RI Chevy you can run mine at GTG to see what the 262 "fad" is all about.

Al @drf255 is a stihl guy big time but has an exception for these 262's :)

hope dan gets a chance to pick that thing up... told myself no more saws, but no harm in picking an extra one up for the pops :)

I'll take a look when I get home... I got it off AS trading post a couple weeks after the last gtg. It went on the shelf and that's the first time ive touched it since...[emoji19]

I have an 87 I can bring for you to play with. I need to find the time to bore out the 120's and add the plates I bought for the conversion.
