Any pics of the jug Randy?

How much from the band?

Did you have to clearance much on the baseplate or tunnels?

How do you feel the torque compares to a ported 046? I'm wondering if hogging put the lowers would add case volume and grunt to these hybrids.

And a big, goodmorning GFY to everyone.

I'm loving this site too guys.

Locked threads on AS last night........
I haven't looked, don't believe that I will either

Been tryin like hell but still can't get that shower drain pregnant
Snots came flying out of my nose on that one ! Thanks Keith !

There still fighting in brads thread, I told them that I liked pears and big women.

There will allways be fighting in his threads

I think a dose of the clap is probably better than working on a 441.
If you say so ................ I'd rather eat a bucket of spackle though

I'm wondering if hogging put the lowers would add case volume and grunt to these hybrids.

I think this is one friggin great idea

I already started doing this to the 046 jug that Mike cut for me before I got my lathe. I thought it would be the equalizer, so I started quietly...........

Morning Doc !!!

What's the great idea? The GFY, or the increased case volume?

I love this site.

Can free think porting theory, throw a few friendly GFY's around, hear about Deet's attempts of self love in the shower, talk about Jason's irritated vagina from all the aluminum chips he gets in it from porting naked.....

And still not get called into the principal's office (though I spent most of my grade school days there)

These days I'd be in jail. My swan song was swiping a quart of nitric and sulfuric acid from the chemistry lab to make nitroglycerin on the beach. Didn't go to well.

Who in their right mind would own or even port a 441 ?

Yep! That thing give me nothing but trouble

I remember that now. You were KG441 at one time weren't you?

I did one and don't care if I ever do another. If I would be asked it would be referred to you or any one who will work on them.

Lke the poaster not the poast.....

I've got 'em all. M-tronic is the finest thang to slide across my bench and into the bed of my Dodge ever. Last two weeks, falling Oaks/cutting huge piles of Elm and Hedge from 55° to -1° tomorrow morning. Everything from 20" semi-chisel to 30" Square on square fullskip. Who do you think will have to tune it?

Has the, "little man" in her guys.

Funny story about not going so well.......
Back in school, this guy "Boof" swiped sodium metal from the lab. He was showing off with it by wrapping a ball in paper towels and dropping it in a glass jar of water. He tightened the lid and shook it, then threw it and got it to explode in the air. Lots of practice was needed to get it to explode before it hit the ground. His last one didn't have enough paper towels, I guess, and it exploded just as he let go. Wasnt too difficult for the teachers to figure out who swiped the sodium, with "Boof" having a thousand slices in his upper body and "rumors" of exploding glass jars running around the school.

The hybrid idea sounds interesting enough, but from what I am hearing a lot of people say is that they are sort of like a "cross-over" vehicle. They end up being not real good at anything and lose a bit of what made them special as the two separate saws they were.

Are they supposed to feel like a more powerful 440 or a lighter, better handling 460?

Thanks.

No pics.......it's just got the bridge ports, nothing special.

Jeremy is gonna do a hybrid thread......I didn't wanna steal his thunder.

Yes, there is some clearance work involved. I keep it simple and use an end mill in a handpiece. That part happens fast.

I've yet to see a hybrid the would beat my 046s in big wood. I doubt this one will either. Not enough case volume.

You might be onto something......but would it lose that racy feel? It's bad ass was a 24" bar.
