I use a 064 oem piston. There wide and long but a 281 piston is a good idea. I'll check into that.

Jason is the 288 skirt wider than a 660?

The 281s skirt wont quite clear the crank throws, have to machine a little off. The jug also has to be dropped quite a bit, so the intake duration is longer than what a work saw needs.

288 skirt is longer also but it's shorter to the crown,I cut 050 from the chamber and .120 from the base and the intake was still only 83 and compression at 200

Yep. I'm still 70% on the exhaust but the intake is very wide. This saw flat ass runs too

Yes it works just fine. I've only ported a couple saws that needed a bigger jet

385 piston is a lot taller.,requires a spacer or about .060" out of chamber and nothing off base if I'm remembering right. You can add Windows to it and get what you need there.

Every saw I do tunes around 1 on the low and 1 on the high. I don't tune rich on the low and I tune the high where the saw wants to run. I don't check rpm often but there usually around 14500
