Right new here thanks for having me 1st question does anyone know where i can buy good chains from in the uk not much of a choice of chain in the uk if you ask for a skip chain or square filed chain you get looked at like your some sort of freek i ordered a chain to try square filing from the usa the postage was more than the chain

I don't really have any good sources to buy chain from, lest one for square ground skip tooth!

Maybe Andrew @ajschainsaws can help You out, he seems to have a good selection of chains in stock.
Maybe he can get You square skip on order in case he doesn't stock any.

I know all to well how much shipping from the US costs, kills all the fun of getting stuff from over there.

Come to think of it, Grube.de comes to mind.
It is a German web shop, but will ship within the Europe Union.
I got some Carlton chain and my 36" Iggesund Forest bar from them.
