been there done that i did it on my 223 and i couldn't tell much difference with the power.

Why do you think it's out of the muffler. It did make it a little louder, and it did seen to spool up a little faster. Either way, it's got to be better than the way it was.

I just replaced both of mine with oem non cat mufflers. It did not make any noticable difference in power but the heat was greatly reduced. The oem not cat muffler is quieter than the cat one.

I have a feeling that gains are much harder to notice in a trimmer. Not like you can go out back and cut a few grass cookies. Well... Unless you live in one of those western states. Lol
