Sorry for the delay fellas, I've been dealing with a plumbing emergency at my Dads. Its the holes on for the top cover on a 181 case, 2 i think are repairable with time serts but front one has a small piece missing. Mate, to me that case looks like a prime candidate for @Stump Shot marine epoxy and helicoil fix. There's a very informative thread. I used JB Marine to great success on my 288.

You can probably get buy with just helicoil a there. Set the one deeper than the chip, the top cover screws are pretty long.

I think it will survive. It was wallowed out kinda deep. I was able to to use a long time sert. But only the lower threads were grabbing. I installed it with some JB weld and let set up for a few days.
