After brushing up on splitting I may try the heat and cool without one first. That’s how we do most things at work anyway...or I might make something easier to use at home vs. at work - which was the idea behind the splitter I guess.

im not sure there is an easier method. heat and cool works ok for assembly, but has nothing to do with splitting.

I bought the OE Husky large at $75
Farmertec is $55 for Stihl style.
They seem the same but use completely different methods.
Much prefer the big forking tool vs a stud pusher type.

These tools are not that expensive.and make the job a heck of alot quicker.guess that’s why I have a drawer full now[emoji23][emoji23]
