I’ve found a small nick on the sealing surface of the case and unfortunately lets tiny bubbles out. If I put dirko on the area when I install a new seal do you think that will fix it? Anybody manage to solve this problem? I have to wait for a new seal to arrive before I can try anything.

I've fixed one with 518. I smear it on all my seals before installing. Cheap insurance...

How does it compare to dirko? Same sort of rubbery sealant?

If you have access to a surface plate, i would give it a very light sanding on one of those, may help knock off any high spots in that nicked area.

And as said above, a little sealer of your choice and you should be good

Is this between the 2 case halves......or at a seal pocket?
Confused.
