Agreed on the dome shape ^- everyone talks about the squish in terms of clearance, but what about the size and angle of the squish band itself?

I must say most of my engine building cones from four wheelers pwc and dirtbikes . I seem to like a large angled squish band with a small dome with a steep angle. I have ran the same size domes with different profile and the shape I described worked the best with a correct squish.

I've seen a lot of stock 066 at .017-022" from the factory. I've run a 372 at .011" for a tank or two once. Solder gives a false reading if you're under about .018" compared to plastigauge.
