First one looks like the chain was considerably sharper.

Yes the chain was new in the .325 video. The 3/8 was used but sharpened. I want to find a bigger log maybe oak to bury it in and retest. 6" cedar ain't hard enough

With the 3/8 you could see the saw pulling hard but not cutting very well. A good sharp chain and it'll impress you even more with that 3/8

Although my stock hybrid cut close to yours time wise, yours is stronger for sure. i could tell a difference in feel. Don't forget, I cut a .040 popup on the black saw and took .055 off the cap. As David said they'll run close in the small wood but yours would walk away in bigger wood, as it should. We'll get some more comparison videos once I get time to do some machine work to mine and raise transfers. I'm curious how it'll play out. I'll say this, your 350 last night would dog the 350 I built for that guy last week.

it is a excellent combination.
I like the combination of Husky & Stihl, running 23RS chains on both my 2253 and 262.
Wish SugiHara or other high quality bar makers could made 13" and 15' 50ga so I could used RS chain on my 242's also.

Why not run 25RS?

Ok I can't find the thread @Mastermind posted about modding the el42 zama carb to flow enough fuel. The search function is no help.
I finally got all the parts in to swap in the filter setup, up until now it only had an hda 198-1 carb installed, and while it cuts good I'm not wowed by it in comparison to a stock 350 carb, maybe I haven't cut with it enough to truly notice it.

I have yet to grind on the jug either other than setting squish. I'm not exactly sure where to go with that, widen intake and exhaust or just the exhaust? Raise transers or leave them alone? As of right not the most grinding I've done is to the muffler.
