Carb for 462

[Redfin]

I have been looking for a suitable carb to use on a 462 for some testing. I have no issue swapping shafts to use the existing throttle arm.

I have not found one yet with correct mounting orientation. At this point, I need help finding any carb that could be modified.

Id like to keep the oem throttle arm and mounting studs. I thought maybe some would have a larger selection to look at than I.

Your much better at this than I but maybe a large Dolkita carb body flipped over wearing some other feed tubes...just a thought.

Yes forgot to mention, I dont care where the impulse and fuel inlets are.

I did try a WJ69 turned inside out. No bueno.

Zama c3m like a 7900 right? Maybe try a hd12 off a 372, should bolt right on.

I know Jawney has a 7900 there, I figure he must have ruled that out already.

I have a couple 281/288 carbs here-HS228c and 283b.
Bolt pattern same as WJ I believe, let me know if you need pics or sumfin.
Also have some oddball WJs too if that helps.

I have 1122s, 1128s, rjws, 228s. Nothing here with the correct orientation to at least bolt up and allow shaft swap to utilize oem throttle arm.

I fully expect to have to rebuild carb box and possible use a cable if I can not find one to bolt up for what I want to do.

For some reason Stihl in the system gives two different carbs for 462. But i have no idea about their differences

i have 5 carbs for the MS 462 in the system
1 without M-Tronic
2 with Mtronic and without Heated Handles
2 with Mtronic with heated Handles

difference on the Mtronic carbs is the solenoid: old black or new white

But it v3. All mtron carbs should be white solenoid. Anyway I didn’t count all editions as you did and I should

The MS 462 was released as a Mtronic v2 saw.

My goal is to find a carb without the separation for the strato feed. I want to mount a standard bore on this saw.
