I don't have an eye to tell if it's good or bad since I don't port. It looks clean, but the question I would have (that I would understand about it) is did it run, did it run good, Ok or crappy? I am guessing crappy since it is in your shop. Were the holes enlarged too much? The customer waited 15 months for his saw to be done....and this is the work he got.
Here's the real problem....I don't have an eye to tell if it's good or bad since I don't port. Not chamfered?!
No.did the impulse port get ported?
No plating left between the ports. Well.....there is a sliver. Not chamfered?!
I have no idea. After the trouble the guy had getting his saw back....he didn't even start it. Sent it to us to check out. This jug is getting replaced.did it run good
I would have thrown this jug in the trash can had my burr gotten away from me like this. I sure as hell wouldn't have reinstalled it and sent it.Dang, and I was worried when i left 1.5mm between ports![]()
Welp....the timing wasn't advanced.....so, maybe. Carb limiters were completely gone too. Sure fire way to bend the fugh outta the needles with a screwdriver.I would take .020 off the flywheel key and apply it to the plating with electrolysis. No new cylinder.
Stage 3
Rough in the transfers and intake ain't really a problem. A burr finish is even fine. The intake port shape is terrible though.....but that's not a big deal really. It's the area between the upper transfers the made us decide to replace the cylinder. The muffler had a coating of fine metal dust inside of too....from the muffler mod. Lots of little things that just weren't Kosher.I thought the "texture was rough" so thanks for posting what not to expect.
