Finally got my delivery of RAL 7035 2K in an aerosol.

Thanks @LondonNeil

Pretty glossy, gotta love the smell of 2K and what it does to your health.

Original clutch cover doesn’t look too bad considering what it was like before. It has black stove paint sprayed beneath the 2k around the logo. Idea is to flat the white back with a flatting block to run through and leave the black letter. Well that’s my hope..

Looks good. The black under paint is an interesting idea. I suspect simply rubbing back won't leave super sharp lines though, but fingers crossed for you.

2k has cyonate in it doesn't it? Not nice.

I have done it in the past on model builds at when I was in the workshops at JLR but the under colour was probs two thick coats of 2K rather than 1K stove paint.

2K has some horrific stuff Isocyanate I think. But I did it outside and with a cannister mask. I aint keeled over yet lol..

Nice early Christmas Present from the Greek on eBay. The anticipation has been killing me to see if these Episan pistons are as good as I am led to believe. Also got a new upper mount from him. I’ll report back and take some pictures later when I open it fully.IMG_1748.JPG

There is a little check valve between the bar oil groove and the front bar stud hole. Stick a pin or needle in there and make sure you haven't painted it shut. It won't oil properly if air can't get through to replace the oil than is being pumped out.

That's true. It looks like that wasn't masked.

They aren't hard to replace mind you.

It may be fine? My dealer says some are stuck right out of the factory.
(same part is stihl used on today's new saws)
There is actually a tiny little ball and light spring inside there.

It wasn't masked but the whole plate area is back to bare metal now. The pin hole was poked with (only because I had a blocked one on my 2065) It oils nicely :)
