I've been wanting one of these mostly just to say that I have one and partly because I think they would be a bad ass saw for general cutting. I usually keep one smaller saw running an 18 or 20 and a bigger saw with a 32+ when I'm cutting firewood and clearing property. I know a 500 is like 80cc but the whole fuel injected thing seems like it adds alot of power for that displacement. Is it the equivalent of sticking a 20" bar on a 660 or is it more like a hopped up 372
This 500i is ported by Kevin @huskihl so its another ball game altogether. The only hopped up 372 I've used is one I ported myself so I don't think it is a fair comparison! All I know is Dallas' 500i ported exactly the same as mine is over 9hp on the Dyno.

Yea she's stock. Was thinking about starting to do my own port stuff but it's way too complicated for me.

In all honesty, the 500 would end up being a shelf queen for me. I can't bring myself to use a new saw. Much less one of those things
mine stays dirty as im not a saw polisher
i started mine off with 28 inch 404 in oak first tank

Thats absolutely insane. Im curious to see how the an injection saw holds up to the extra power. I love the idea of these saws and the price point really ins't that bad at all. Lets see how the tax returns and stimulus turn out. I might just find myself sending mastermind a 500i to port

Ive been wonering about the computer saws, whenever they are ported, does the porter have to screw with the computers on them or do they just self correct

Nope, nothing is touched. Timing is left stock as well. The computer compensates very well as far as I can see and feel.
