So stick to OEM coils on these...interesting.I'm out of pictures so we'll just cut to the video of it running. It was a rough day trying to get to testing. I ran 3 different coils before I found a suitable one. I still think this one may be loosing sparks at high RPM but it wasn't as noticeable as others with the timing light. I have a known good coil that I can pull off my other 395 some other day. With the timing light on the saw I also noticed the china 394/395 coils are much different timing than an OEM, not a good deal.
Definitely. I went through a cheena one in a few short months and it didn't feel as stout, which explains timing statement. So stick to OEM coils on these...interesting.

Damn beggars.
Well, that's different. LOLI want one too...
Can you put one in a 288xp? I think the 394xp uses the same crank as a 288xp...
Damn beggars.
Call Falicon, only should be about $600
How can I get one of those cranks?
Find a 2100 crank... machine it on your lathe. Bam! You have a crank.
I bet you could with the right tooling and light cutsI'm not a great machinist. Getting the taper right would be tough. Also, I'm not sure my lathe is rigid enough to cut through the layer of hardened material.
