It is about contributing the info you have, in order to help the OP making an educated choice.

While I'm not a fan of "armchair quarterbacks" on Monday morning, I do appreciate the advice of someone who knows what they speak about.

For someone like myself, you have to start somewhere if you aren't going to accept the advice of pimple faced teenager at the saw shop trying sell you on whatever has the best sales incentive for the month.

So what? :confundio:

It is about contributing the info you have, in order to help the OP making an educated choice.

It isn't a pissing match about who has used what.

Do you have anything helpful or positive to contribute at all, or are your focus totally negative on this forum as well?

Never used one of those saw's but I'm tired of reading your bs about things you don't have a clue about and by the messages i'm receiving i'm not the only one feeling that way - have a nice day :campeon:

Bar length is not as important as oil ratio. If the proper bar is not taken into account to the oil ratio it will cause catastrophic results! And I know from experience! I'll explain in detail on A/S y'all go over there and wait on me to explain.

Saw Troll is right on with the info he is giving u about the Stihl bars . I've already been through the dilemma on Stihl and Cannon PS bars. If u want actual length from crankcase to the tip of the bar go with Cannon or just be aware that Stihl is all underrated on their claimed length.

The 241 will balace about perfect with a 16 or 18 Cannon Supermini
I agree. Am lining up both 18 and 20" Cannon bars. Have gotten sick of *s-wordty quality solid 16" or laminated 16" or 18" bars on my 241. Not even laminated Tsumura bars would hold up well when this ape pinched them while felling trees or when limbs do something unexpected. Many of the laminated ones also don't have replaceable noses. Left Coast Supplies had and may still have, some super-cheap 16" low pro bar (crap Chinese origin GB) and chain (OK, although some think it chatters too much, oregon 91VXL). Just don't expect the bars to last - they really are crap. I quite like the chain though.

Regarding balance, my dolmar 7900 is hopelessly out of balance with the 32" bar that seems to stay on it but it serves the best purpose for my needs like that. Similarly, even if the 241 with 18 or 20" Cannon will be tip heavy, I like the extra reach. It's not like even a weakling like me is going to get worn out swinging a few extra ounces around.

Cannon 16" or 18" c1 in Supermini model. True 16 or 18" bars and nice for the extra reach and comes in PS

I agree with this. Any shorter than 16" and you run out of reach. I.e. The more you have to bend over. I noticed it almost immediatley when I started using the saw. Thought about going to an 18" but haven't. P.S. The saw balances fine with the 16

Ive noticed that the Stihl E bar on mine flexes and is not particularly strong when pinched,so will look at replacing it. Do Tsmura do a solid 16' bar that would suit this saw?

yes,a 16. Not a strong enough bar for the Angry Termite (the 241)
Its ok when trimming and small limbing, but the saw is capable of tackling harder and larger wood than the bar can handle.

Send me a price on the bar if you don't want it. Might be interested...
