The GM trucks rattle a lot after about 50k miles on rough roads. They would drive me crazy. I don't really care for the auto but with all the highway driving I do the higher rpm cruising with the manual wasn't really feasible. I would be getting about 13-14 mpg instead of 18 on highway.
I'm getting between 22 and 24 mpg on the highway

No just 3 loads like in my pic . I'm not even sure its a cord .

Gotcha, I wasn't sure how much would fit in the bed of that truck, I think I can get half a cord in the (long)bed of my F250 if I stack neatly.

If I had to guess I would say 3/4 of a cord .
Per load its like 5 wide by 6 1/2 by about 4 high

The Duramax is economical, I will give it that. The Formula 400 in my buddys' Freightshaker gets about 5-6 mpg.

You got the deletes?

I think the newer Duramax will do that stock with the Allison, I guess it could depend on the gearing though.

I know for sure my 7.3 IDI with a C6 behind it and a Dana 80 with 4.56s and posi only gets about eight.

I need to do that to mine now it's out of warranty and almost paid for. Have to save up for a transmission build.

My brother has a '02 3500 du ally with the Duramax/Allison. There is nothing about that truck that I like better than my Dodge. It has nowhere near the power my Cummins has, and has a terrible ride. Not to mention the POS front suspension design. What a joke.
