I have a old race cyl here just like it...I wanted to try that 3rd port just to see what would happen...I think you need a port in the piston just below the ring for it to work

Yes. That's how the 655 Poulan boost port works

O yeah. I could lay my pinky finger almost completely in them.

Did you run it?

No. It was in a pile of cylinders at the local husky dealer.
