I thought you were brand loyal, Jeff....?
Lol. I am, for saws. I had to buy some chinese plastic, and while I was looking put a low bid on them. Sure enough, I won. Lol

Reminds me of a large drill bit set I bought from Harbor Freight years ago. A large percentage were not even close to sharp. Took them back and the clerk said no refunds but I can get another set so I opened them up in the store and they looked the same so I insisted for a refund. Clerk gets the manager, he crosses his arms up, looks at me like I am needlessly causing a problem and says, well, they are made in china .o_O I told him something like if I want to donate money to them, I don't need their junk and he did end up refunding.
Ditto! Same thing happened to me I now own a set of American made drill bits.

I have some 200.00 sets of bits......and I have some cheap bits. If you can sharpen bits, and the steel is not soft, the cheaper bits are a real value. I generally resharpen on a less aggressive angle, and they work pretty good.
