Yeah, I would have to re-wrap it for sure. I will private message you. I really appreciate you looking for and finding this. Maybe we can still work something out.
I re-wrapped a Pro Safety 288 handle with Stihl tubing, it looked mint when I was done. I polished the bare handle prior to wrapping it and that seemed to help a lot.

Update. Pro safety full wrap and dogs came in. Ordered from Bailey’s. Reproduction blue Eliminator Performance Connection top came in and sourced reproduction decals for it. I have to 3d print an adapter for the throttle to solve the issue 288xp’s have that won’t allow full throttle. And I have to tig weld a stainless pipe to the muffler for a muffler mod. And then it’s off to be ported/timing advanced/machined/Dyno’d.

Nice. Where do I get one of those filter set ups? I spent an hour or so running a tank of fuel out of it recently and I really like this saw. I get the hype for sure.
It's a K&N with a filter adapter I made with the foam pre- filter , EBay has adapter's I believe, and just fit a filter to it , IMG_1823.jpeg

Uni also makes filters that will work. I have one on my Husky 2100. I did need to buy a velocity stack adapter, which came up to about $50 for both. That was cheaper than the dirty worn out 2100 air filters which were being sold on eBay for $100.
