Looks to possibly be a complete clutch issue too. Different spider, counterweights, and springs between your two saw examples David. Just saying, LOL

I'd be interested to see the carb linkage set up. The 181 used a metal rod link connection to the carb. The 288 used a pad contact plastic lever to carb. Might give you some insight on what chassis you have for future parts.

Everything up top is 288. Rebuilt, Ported.

I recently bought a new Brazil 288xp from Paveen and I am in search of a NOS high top cover for the 288xp along with a full wrap bar. I am too new to post in the for sale section but if anyone knows where I could find these items please let me know. Also I don't think pro safety has any in stock. It's just like one guy and he doesn't answer the phone and Baily's says they are backordered. Thanks
