It'll be in the mail soon Joe. Right now it's on a 288 I rebuilt that runs really good. What muffler do you have? I think I've got another hollow one. It'll be loud as heck but probably wont need a mod.

I made an small order of odd and ends from HL Supply last night. I decided to give one of their round outlet mufflers a try so for 16 bucks I ordered it.

Tried and true work horses. Every time you post a pic of your V-stack saws you make me want to get one for playing around. I have a spare low top cover to cut.

How do you like a 281 compared to the 288? Just asking because you have lots of big 2- series experience.

My friend has a super clean 281. If his saw is a little sharper than mine it'll cut with or out cut a couple of my 288's. I think a 281 is every bit as good as a 288.
