i think i need to get a pic of what i think is the most rare 288/281 muffler i've seen for you guys when i head to my dealers place next.
full aluminium muffler, dont think they were made alot

It would be very cool to see that, didn't know there was such a thing.

Is it possible that someone made it and it’s not a factory muffler?

i cant imagine it being customly made
and my dealer even said it were made by AM company for limited time

Got my new air filter and pull starter today.
Just waiting on a tank vent so I can fuel it up and give it a run.
Planning to do a full showdown with my 064

Thanks mate.
Working on lots of saws you get to run most things out there but I think these are my favorites.
The 064 is my No.1 favorite saw to use and look at, but for the first time, I have a Husky sleeping on the bench, not on the ground.
If the 288 goes as good as it looks and feels it will take its place next to the 064 and stay as part of the family.

To do that it’s goung to need to be really good.

yes it does, weighs twice or even more than stock muffler. this one was used on 2 saws untill they got totalled. dealer and i suspect they stopped making these because they last too long lol. stock outlet is the big hole on the front, the small ones were added later by the owner for gains. bet aluminium will dissipate more heat than stock ones

Thanks for posting. Like you said they couldn’t have held up very well so were a short lived part. Polish it up and slap it on a saw, all the PSP’s will be jealous lol
