That saw is fit with a 6' bar and is used only to cut units of 2x4's that go in to the production of surveying stakes (lath). They send it home with me from time to time to give it a good cleaning and check the condition of the clutch.

This isn't a one off, throughout the developing nations, the first time the filter blocks on the o70/090 (and others I imagine) the filter and cover is thrown, and the saw runs as in your picture from then on.
Obviously it's not right, but that's how they do it.

They use this saw to cut units of 2x4's in half, the lumber is then ripped and "pointed" and sold as surveying stakes. The saw only every sees kiln dried SPF and the occasional kiss of the concrete below...

I was gonna start an air filter pic thread and found this one. I just rebuilt an MS201T that was completely clogged with sawdust. I mean crankcase clogged up. Never saw a crankcase that was packed with sawdust before. I just figured they ran it w/o the filter, even tho there was one in it. Well…

Are new 9000/9010 AF's NLA in the US, either Robko-Flock ( 024173230 ) or nylon ( 024173190 ) ?

I really don't know. That 9010 is in my collection. An NOS saw having a degrading AF.Shave some sheep with it, that'll rebuild the flock!
