I am trying another boost system for McCulloch 795 with a set of Honda reed cage and a pair of carbs. What I mean is to introduce the positive air pressure given by the flywheel fan into the boost port through this carb.

I will be glad if any guy has informative tips and appreciate it if he could share them, thanks.

This intake housing comes to the upper top of the motor where the blue arrow shows the flow of gas through another smaller carb.

The smaller carb in the pic below was originally installed on this 795, the same one on Super 797, but she was not budged as Super 795 though.

A nice video is posted from the Chainsawguy on this series;

The pair of the carbs come like this below;

It's looking good Chy. How are you doing?
Good morning Mike, thanks. TIG things are something I started only several months ago, so not so good, but at least a tad better than ever, lol. Am busy but not so bad, you seem doing good Mike!

Yeah everything is good here. You will only get better and better with the tig in time.

Thanks Mike, some progress here, tried for some mock-up with paper.

A rectangular box on this side is for micro-controller unit for ignition. May be I will minimize the size later.

Progress is looking great!!
Are you going to run the carbs simultaneously or open the second only once the saw is up in The power band?
I ask because the programmable ignitions open a lot of fun possibilities I don’t ever see discussed on saw forums :)
Are you going to have a trigger/flywheel made or build your own by turning down a stock one and adding the triggers.
I’m envious of your fabrication skills.

Hi Dave, Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!

Nice idea too, Dave! I have been thinking of opening the second carb all the time, but now your post gave me another thing to give deeper digging! Probably a trigger lever is needed for opening the second carb. May be intentionally I will open it, since some flow is needed for cooling the cylinder head.

As far the program I am now thinking one with nearly zero degree advance for higher spin than 12000 - 13000.

And yes I am going to fabricate a totally new one for this contraption, but only a question is if it goes good to her, my skill is not so very good as you imagine though! lol.
Here is an evidence that I am a novice welder and am always looking for better skills for my makes;

Thanks again.

Second carb - bored out with a trickle of nitrous, set to pop open at 90% throttle :)
No choke on carbs :)
Ignition set to retard until engine hits 4500 rpms and then advance quickly over a half second.
Several of the manufacturers of the program able ignitions offer lite weight flywheels as well.
Big saw with plenty of grunt doesn’t need the extra inertia of a flywheel
Cold start from the ground at a retarded ignition setting and the throttle pinned open.
As soon as it fires and hits 4500 the ignition advances as you move to the wood and as you peg the throttle...
Three seconds later the guy at the other end of the cant and all the spectators wonder in awe at wtf just happened.
When you are ready for a bar and chain for it let me know :)
