I have a tree monkey 361 which is a runner but I deal with mostly oak or maple so I want some more grunt and I feel that a 440 is like equivalent weight to a 361
That is why i sold my 361 plus the AV was poop.

And more....
Mainly little old ladies necks

By the looks of them, might be I should have gave the rings a better shake than I gave them at the time of the build. All I knew was I couldn't go wrong with a set of Cabers. These don't look like other AM offerings, nice ground to size like the Caber rings are. Will have to find a project to give them a try, as I might just be missing out on a good thing.

Nice thread Steve! Look forward to seeing how these pistons hold up, seems the duke has a fair number of pistons we have been asking for, how about a slab sided longer skirt 7910 @Duke Thieroff ?
Honestly, I'll just have to see what the factory sends, I don't have a sample from them currently for that model, but will within a month or so.

We could potentially get a modified piston made but it would require a new mold for around $1200+-

They look good, what does the tensile feel like?

They feel good too, but I don't quite know how to put that into words that would be technically astute.
I think the best thing would be to stick them in a saw and run the heck out of it and see how they wear.

Kinda reminds me of some of the Stihl rings some have markings and some don't the rings you got look similar to caber just no markings.

Only way to know for certain. I recently had a set of Stihl rings break in a 046, lucky they stayed in the ring lands, top ring broke in 4 pieces, bottom in two, can`t see any reason for that. Pun new rings in, an older set of new but much older rings I had in spares dept and the saw is still running fine.
