Stop rubbing it then.
Only if you already have an oem clutch of someone else’sZapped the clutch off.
For you dudes with a clue, is it toast? What's the best way to determine if it is?

Plus, to be top 3, doesn't it immediately warrant a new one??
I've reused some pretty nasty clutches, might ruff up the edge with 220 grit and check for grooves or high spots . If it has either pitch it or it'll wear the drum like a brake drum with bad shoes.Zapped the clutch off.

It looks like the piston may have contacted the case?

And using the heat and beat method, cases are apart.

Little scrubbing in the parts washer..
And with the broken flywheel side case, it's just the right amount of ugly.

I plan to keep it, don't care that it's missing a chunk, and right now have other things that money for a half would be better spent on.
That connecting rod end is awfully urply purply, like it got really hot.
Make sure it's not galled at all.
Isn't the star shaped mount supposed to go where your chunk is missing? It looks like the piston may have contacted the case?

Stuff like that makes me nervous.(building a hi perf saw on)If it got hot enough to discolor the steel connecting rod that badly while running, the thin bearing cage would be melted.
That's just from heat induction treatment of the rod ends during manufacturing.

I think I've got a spare flywheel side, if you can wait for it to be mailed. If I do have it ,it might be a non C but can be made to work, and I don't need anything for it.
