A closer look at a new 565

Got my hands on a 565 to play with for the holiday week. This is a demo unit; they have NOT started shipping any of the new saws. Figured a few pics are in order before I get her dirty. 2nd pic shows the raised muffler...……..get that heat out.

Air filter on and off. Has the soft material for sealing as on the 572. My bet is that this is the set up that we will see on the mark II versions of the 550 and 562.

The temp barrier, (which actually works real good), in the top cover.

Movement limiter similar to what's on a 576. same for the 572.

Is it open then toward the front by the muffler?
Just curious as to how they are directing the airflow into airbox and around cylinder.

Yes it does. I checked carb temps on my 572 on an 87 degree day and the carb temp never got past the low 90's. 562 in that heat would have been in the 120-130 degree range.

On the surface these saws truly look to be evolved 5 series. While many dealers were in the dark about the heat soak problems that plagued the early saws, the writing is on the wall about Husky knowing EXACTLY what the problems were. These new changes along with the fastest/smartest generation of AT bring reliability & clever evolution to this much loved platform. I have high hopes for these saws. Sub'd

Smaller than 576, same chassis as the 572 I believe

Same saw but no stuffers and smaller air filter according to the videos I’ve seen.

This should be a recall/free upgrade for all 562s they should offer current owners the newest carb and the divider and top cover or if its too different to fit then a credit towards the new 562. I am a big fan of the 562 and there are many others but unfortunately there was also more than a few people who didn't have good luck with them and husky knows it they should step up and support them
