880 - convert 404 to 3/8

thanks alot for everyone's replies
my thinking was that i only have a 25" for the 880 but got 3/8 bars from 16" all the way to 36" including ripping chains
and just wanted to try and convert the 880 to save having to buy 404 bars etc

i guess i'll just have to spend a load more money

You can get 3002 mount bars for your 375 chains

I like the 3003 or D009 tail on my longer bars. Not sure if I want that tall 3002 tail on anything now unless it is running an 8 or 9 pin. The 36 and 41 404 3002 ES with an 8 pin is fine. The smaller 3003 tail seems better for my set up with a 7 pin 404 rim install. 660 or 880 doesn't matter imo. 12mm long slot is all you need... the rest is just holes. Not many bars available you can do this with though. You need height to make that oil hole work and the chain must clear the bars plates.

If they are 0.063 gauge. 0.050 won't work on most bars.
