Wow, the "new" white solenoid reset procedure is very pronounced. The old reset is what I did on every saw I ever started ? Duh....I used to call it "warming up the saw" ....now I can call it "resetting the solenoid" and sound much kooler to the kids on the job.

Till the solenoid *s-wordsthebed and the saw just acts like a rich pig and you want to throw it through the weeds. Wj69 is your friend with the 661.

I really like the 661 mtron when it works. But when you pack 2 gallons of gas gallon of oil axe wedges files something to drink and the saw into the woods just to have the saw take a dump really sucks.

That's a good question and something worth discussing with the electronic saws, is the old rule of "warm saw, high idle start" still applicable?

Never heard that one before we must have better fuel in Aus.

Don't know it has gone to *s-word in the last 2 years ....
My saws can sit for 40+ mins just pick them up and "just one tug and they cum alive"

Well I ran it today and it definitely is a mo fo to start hot. She runs and cuts great running. Just don't shut sob off. Cuz it's hell. I tried choking it with a little luck starting. I also tried no choke and it takes 2 people to start it for sure. I tried blowing it like julian said. I guess I didn't blow hard enough lol. I will look at solenoid and try reset tomm. If that Don't work I will try new solenoid I guess.

Well since it does it all the time I'd say solenoid then. But better check the prostate converter under the control module ask @big t double for the destructions on that procedure

Well been doing some testing and cutting turns out the fuel solenoid has a leak only when hot it was doing this. I assume it was loosing prime. About 3 months ago I had to put a new piston in it. I'm wondering if that had anything to do with having to put a new piston in it.
