So I'm guessing that there is no issue with clearance on the cylinder? Great idea that 661 should be a bad to the bone when finished.

well there's a muffler and covers and stuff. going to be some fitment issues here and there to deal with. it's not one of those plug and play builds

Do u already have some ideas how you fit the muffler and carb?

I plan on lowering the muffler on the jug so the case mounts remain the same. I do not think the spacer height will affect the intake boot.

Top cover will need to be dropped. Still thinkin on that one.

I'll likely mill some off the top of the jug. On the muffler, not sure yet...but with a little tig welding to the back....

What about that top cover mount screw down near the Decomp ?

Good question. Maybe we can pull the stud, mill the height, and put it back in.

Good question. Maybe we can pull the stud, mill the height, and put it back in.

I'd easily cut the 0.175 off the three (left to right) fins on top.
Have to see how that studs rubber mount positions the cover or if it still allows the cover to get into position over it

Indeed. Didnt mess with timing tonight. Figured Id sort the cover. Decided to recess the stud, had to lose the grommet. Had to trim the outer fin. Its not perfect because the plastic that holds the retainer nut is still proud.

661 clutch has a larger diameter hub and overall shoe diameter. Swapped the hub for a 660 and the 661 shoes.

make a filler piece on a 3-d printer and glue it to the cover, maybe? ya? na?

The tapered washer over the oiler gear needs to be swapped to 660.
