661 max flow filter and cover test

- wood: big (4+' at base) downed box elder. Lot of dirt and rot.
-Started with clean max flow filter + max flow filter cover.
- this is after 4 tanks on the 661. Didn't even bother to check it. Not bad!!!

Looks like you did use oil, looked moist where filter hit the housing??

You have to oil a maxflo.....


Pretty good for havin the cover on and 4 tanks! I'd be investing in one of I had a 661 for sure

Maxflo green are 60 pore and their white filters are 80 pore.

Thinking about getting a setup for my MS440. Not sure if I should invest in the whole kit or just modify my current filter and wrap it...

It's don't run much anymore.

I have 17.3 hours on mine by the tach and I check it every so offen but never cleaned it I don't think. Swapped over to a k&n

I'm glad there's something for a 661 to improve the filtration because it's terrible.

I think you can wash it in soapy water????

Depends on how long you run them. You can knock some of it off and keep using it. I've milled 2.5 gallons on one filter. With the HD2 I had to take it off every cut.

You should sharpen your chain if getting that much dust .
