This is what I came up with. I'd like to see how others are making them. I know @huskihl made one.

@rattler... is there an easier way?

Mine is similar to yours. The throat on yours is opened up more, though. My hand got sore lol

Probably a lil more room in a 665 lol. Maybe. Mine's in my 346 with a c3m carb from a 7900

That's what I was looking for. The elbow on the HD kit is so constricted. I was hoping that an elbow from another Saw would be a bolt on.

I'm looking at different filters for this saw. Anybody use the stens filter 605-365? Looks like it's a mesh filter. Just wanted to make sure it was before I purchased one.

There is an oem nylon mesh filter too. Makita #038-173-011

One of these days I'll get around to building my 7910 smurf. I've already bought all the parts from Carl. All my other projects trump this one though
