Does anyone know if replacing the coil/plug wire requires anything more than just a swap? Wondering if it needs to be plugged in at dealer for any reason.
Thanks

I believe you can order one thats already programmed if you provide the carb # when ordering, if not than the coil needs to be paired to the carb at the dealership.
this is just 2nd info I have heard, I have no experience with replacing or ordering a coil for a 5-series husqvarna.

I have replaced only one ignition coil on a 500 series Husqvarna and that was a 550. I had no issues with software/communication between the carburetor and coil.

All 592s are autotune 3 so I don’t believe there’s a need to have anything synchronized. Always heard the only time you needed to do that is if you were replacing a coil or carburetor that weren’t originally used together. I’ve installed new 572 and used 562 coils and never had to have anything paired

There’s no way this is real, it would be a massive minus for Husqvarna… For Stihl mtronic or fuel injection any part can be changed without doing anything else.

was that your experience when replacing a Husqvarna Auto Tune coil? or is your statement pulled out of thin air?

I replaced my 562 coil with one from a 560. No problem. It will need the same carb on 562 as communication frequency change from EL44 to EL46.
So likely not an issue with 592.

I guess I haven’t tried in a 5 series, but can’t you just replace the wire? In previous models you could twist the wire out and install a new one, but I know there are coils with the wire epoxied in place

Seems epoxy in place. Haven't dug into it to deep. The conductor is fine so I just taped it up. I think I'll do a more permanent repair on the wire for the time being. Saw is new and I may sell now that its ported up and making good power and didnt want to sell with taped up wire.

Only husky autotune coil I replaced was an 2018 made 572xp which ran after that. I have no idea if their latest autotune iteration is anti-repair or not. I sure hope its just swap and go.
