Sounds familiar.

After holding booth the 572 and 565 today, I wish I could order a 572 xpg with the filter and top cover setup from the 565, I lreally liked the lower profile of the 565 myself but I like my rev boost too.
The 572 does not have rev boost, it has a “soft” rev limiter they say in the videos.

The 572 and the new 550 mark 2 don’t have rev boost

It might be time for a break? I gave up wrenching on saws for a year after a serious burnout.

The year off was very refreshing and when I got back in it, I had a better perspective.

Maybe you could take a month or two off? (or three).

It's the forums more than the saws.

I still enjoy making them run....I just ain't much on talking about it.

That I'm interested in too.
Funny no one has mentioned anything about that chain
.:nusenuse:

They didn't ship the saws with the new chain, which had been the original plan. They all arrived with the Oregon sourced H48. The new chain is in stock though at this point. Only a few guys running so far that I know and the feedback is positive. Price is competitive with Oregon. I was expecting a $8-$10 spread, but it's only $2 more per loop over the newer EXL chain. I've only brought in 72 and 84 DL loops in .058 so far to see how it goes. I like that it comes in a box that freaking stays together too! Every case of Oregon requires getting out the scotch tape.

Before anybody asks (again), sorry guys but I'm not shipping chain loops. It'll be everywhere before too long. :)

Bob, I wonder if your distributor had to follow a U.S. foreign trade regulation, to import those saws a part of it has to be U.S. made?

They did that here in Canada with the Stihl saws with Canadian made Windsor bars then changing to Canadian Oregon bars ever since the 1960's .

So is the .050 version if the new chain referred to a C83?

.

The loops shipping with the 572 here are C83. Same as c85, just .050 gauge.

That's what I've heard, and ABarrick related the same earlier in this thread. Been trying hard to standardize on .050 (in 3/8 at least) for a while now, so hopefully it shows up around me soon.

I'm experiencing chainsaw/forum burnout on a massive scale.

I seriously doubt I'll ever do another build thread.

Time is too valuable to spend hours and hours doing a thread just to end up defending your ideas and methods to the masses.

It's not worth the effort.
I wouldn't worry too much about thrown darts Randy.
I remember getting pounded like a cheap steak on AS for my paltry contribution to saw building, even accused of using a hoof rasp. Lol
Iregardless, that 346 jug you sent me is my fastest 346
