They have had issues?

MTronic related, I think. not idling well, sometimes they won't restart. I saw 2 seized ones, the dealer said it's because the fuel filter is too restrictive, and if dirty it won't let enough oil passing through it. Sounds ridiculous.

And a few classic filter issues, almost all of the 462's owners I know have already replaced the oil pump, but that's because of the crappy biological chain oil I suppose.

For cons, when they don't have issues, these 462's are awesome, they sound great, and the power to weight ratio is amazing for a stock saw.

But I don't regret to choose the 572.

I had a chance to run one at a gtg last fall, the feel of the saw was very impressive. Enjoy!

Did the non G models show up?

Looks like a 28

28 or 32” bar?

I believe it's a 30" bar...long story but I had them sent over from Japan before they were as easy to get in the united states and so they have some weird drive link requirements.

I believe he's still waiting on the non-heat. My plan was to get a G model all along, and I was planning on having to wait extra time for the regular for it to become available, but the change of sequence was a nice surprise.

The regular 572's are supposed to arrive tomorrow.

They shipped on Thu., and we've already been invoiced for them of course. Was hoping to see them last friday but got a "trailer came in late and we haven't opened it yet" "driver already left" from the carrier. Probably no room on the truck either. But except for 8-12 on Sat we aren't open on the weekends anyway, so it really doesn't matter.

A quick note on the wrap handles. They will not fit in the odd shape boxes that the saws come in, even when removing the standard handle. So, this creates a shipping headache for anyone who wants one with a wrap. Might all fit in an old 395/576 box IF there is one around, or some other larger box. Other than that, it would have to be shipped separate. Either way, a little more shipping cost. The wrap kits don't even come in their own box, they come in a bag.

Saws are "out for delivery" and should be here in the next couple hours. Unless the goofball we have for a governor decides to close 87 to semi trucks due to the wind.

They showed up! Had guys hanging out in the store waiting for the truck to get here.

Nov 2011---prototypes arrive.

Feb 2019--production saws arrive.

Little better than 7 years, but it looks like it's worth the wait.
I think you’re right about it being worth the wait Bob. Sure seems like they’ve done everything they can to make this a trouble free high quality saw. Can’t wait to get mine!

The wind took out our power yesterday for about 9 hours. Came home today and the refrigerator isn't working [emoji51] and it's only a year old, looks like the control panel got a power surge.

Get more than 5 years out of a new fridge and it's considered good. But the 30 year old fridge in the basement just goes and goes. I don't know how the appliance industry gets away with this stuff. New appliances just don't last.

New appliances are total junk, the old pancake style compressors used in the old refrigerators last indefinitely. My brother has a refrigerator in has outdoor shop from the 50s that works just fine.

I sent you a PM by the way.[emoji6]

Now that I've calmed down;

There is some "movement" on the 572 front. ;)

One of the (many) hold ups has been this insistence that the saws be shipped with the new C85 chain, which has been in short supply. With or without the chain, saws are going to ship. They are very excited about this chain. Until I see prices...………..

I MAY finally have an answer on the outside spike. Tech service pulled up the bill of materials for me, and the outer spike is listed as being in there. Fingers crossed until I actually open the boxes. Hopefully it's INSTALLED and the side covers don't have to be drilled. 50/50 confidence on this til we see it with our own eyes. Sure hope they are there cause I just ordered the last 3 from Husky and they are out until April 25.

The formerly overpriced wrap handle is now in kit form like the rest of the saws. Retail is $30. Diagram a bit vague on whether the large spikes are in the kit, but probably so. May even include another side cover, cause the large spike won't fit on the standard cover. And...…….they are also backordered until April 25. lol

There have only been 2 changes to the saws from last year. Different throttle cable and a better sealing oil hose. My saw from the UK had the old hose and didn't leak. Some saws leak more with the thinner oils. That Kinetix all season crap seems to leak in EVERY saw I put it in. I don't recommend that slurry.

Keep your radio tuned to this station for further bulletins. There's gonna be some. :)

So is the outside spike included?

Holes drilled in the clutch cover?

Enquiring minds would like to know.

;)

The outside spike is not included, and holes will have to be drilled to accommodate the spike. The wrap handle kit comes with large spikes the handle and a different clutch cover with holes in it for the spike.

The HD spikes are the same as 365/372 385/390 and are attached using the bar studs. Use of captive bar nuts is lost with the addition of HD spikes on this setup.

Cost is strange on the wrap kit. A clutch cover is 60EU here and the wrap kit including cover, bar, spikes and chain catch is only 5Eu more. Priced the cover yesterday for my 390 project.
