A few problems with discussing saw weights:
1) A lot of the published #s were wildly inaccurate (from almost all companies).
2) Different versions of the same saw changed weight quite a bit.
Early 562s had the 5 bolt case and were lighter than the current version, but some of the cases leaked and they had "hot start" issues. The current ones have 6 bolt cases, baffles to cure the hot start issues, but weigh 13.2 lbs, or the same as a 462. That said they cost less that a 462 and are one of the strongest running 60 cc saws out there, stock or ported.
The 10 mm 044s were one of the lightest 70 cc saws out there, but different filter options changed the weight and I don't think any were as light as the 13 lbs I've seen published. With the 12 mm cranks and HD filters, MS440s were 14 lbs.
Bottom line, if you have a saw that you like, and it runs well and does what you need it to do, it does not matter what brand or model it is. This is especially true if it is reliable and well mannered.
I love my 10mm 044, but if I have to do a lot of stop and start, I will almost always choose either my MOFO 360 or a ported 462 over it, just due to the fact that they have decomp valves that make re starting a warm saw so effortless.
