mines the old style with standard sprocket cover and a snap on filter with felt prefilter where the new ones have a twist lock pleated round filter. I’m sure the one your dealer has is the new style they’ve been out awhile.

All of the saws he’s considering will probably do anything he wants since he was using and ms250 prior

The 565 will be exactly what you need. The old 2165/365’s were probably the best all around firewood saw ever made. Very dependable and are at home with any bar from 18-24” in hardwood.

**** Update*** The dealer is going to order a 565 and sell it to me at cost and after the Military / First Responder discount it will be an even trade. My 562xp for the 565.

Good deal, you should be happy with the 565. The stock spikes are a little lacking but the west coast 562 dogs can be modified to fit. The 565/572 WC spikes loose the captured bar nuts which in my opinion is a big step backwards.

If he want's to pawn off that 562 I'm sure lots of members here will take it even with the known issues.

Good choice on the 565. From what I’ve heard it should be just a detuned 572

Def have to consider that. I'll ask him if hes stuck with it what he wants for it but I think Husqvarna is sending him a new 562xp to replace it.

Thanks . I will do that for sure. I'm looking forward to it. I really liked the 562 when it worked. I'm sure the 565 will not disappoint.

Not many have the 565 but being a detuned 572 it will be a great saw that will suit your needs. Pro saw without the price tag.

The WC spikes are not ideal for hardwood cutting

FWIW, my ms440, which is in the same 70cc class as the 565, balances well with a 20" guide bar.
