I run a ported 346 for in-tree work or at home flopping little pines. I run stock V2 261s at work and they are excellent saws. The stock 550mk2 doesn’t keep up. But that’s all between 5500 and 10000 feet. The 550s don’t have much gut up here. Not sure why. We have 2 V1 362s at work and they are laughably bad. They only get used if the other saws are dull and we’re in a hurry.
Generally, I avoid 60cc saws. I recently ran a few ported ones I would happily put to work, but my habit is run the 346 or 261 until the wood gets big, then grab a 70cc.
