I have the maxflo on my 461 with the cover. Honestly dont like how the cover blocks the on off switch. If I have to shut down the saw in a hurry I will be fumbling to turn it off. I knocked my saw off the work bench and it hit the floor and cracked the maxflo cover. As far as I can tell nothing else was damaged.

I’d like to see Jason’s on a flow bench.
If I had been born rich instead of good looking, I'd have treemonkey port my saw, then I'd send it to dyno Joe in stock trim. Then I'd have it tested with the stock filter, the WCS under the hood, my og exposed filter setup, the max flow, and the EPS filter, and see which one made the best power.
The redbeard/wcs is no good.
Agreed. I'll donate my old WCS filter if anybody wants it.

To me foam filters aren't about flowing more, but rather about filtering better.

What speaks against the WCS, the glued in filter element?

Exactly. I had several fail. WCS was good about covering them, but its just a poor design.
The fact you cant clean them in gas should be a red flag. Piston port two strokes always spit back gas into the filter.

Love my tm 462, will be watching how the mf performs when they've been out a while.

I never thought of that. Good idea.
When I had my bikes I would just keep a Tupperware container with mineral spirits on my bench. After I cleaned a filter I would dump it in a funnel with paper towel in it to catch the dirt. Wipe the dirt out of the container when it was empty And then refill with the clean mineral spirits for next time.
Dish soap will work, but with the tackier filter oils it takes too much work.

I also love my TM462, I have an the Egan setup on my ported 261 and will most like get one for me 462. I am not really a fan of cutting things for air filters. To each his own.
