Nothing fancy, just a gasket delete and some time and patience with a dremel.
Picked the saw up for $300 PHO missing top covers, air filter, and clutch.
Tore it halfway down and gave it a bath in the parts washer.

Removed base gasket, timed the saw, and did a muffler mod:

Muffler installed on saw after build completed later on. Would absolutely do it just like this again. Throaty, but not deafening.
