Was wondering if anyone knew what rod bearing and wrist pin was needed to make a 395xp piston work on a ms660 connecting rod as I was thinking the 660 was a 12mm pin and the 395 was a 13mm pin but I may be wrong don't have either in front of me. Thanks

You use 395 wrist pin and it’s bearing in the 660.
I’ve use the 288 wrist pin and it’s bearing in the 660. 288 and 395 use the same wrist pin bearing.

interesting as I've seen where someone used a 088/880 wrist pin and bearing in the 288xp piston on a 660. Looks like there's a couple different options out there just wanted to use a stihl or husky OEM bearing/pin. I wonder if one combo is a couple ounces lighter than the others as I believe that was the reasoning behind running a 088 wrist pin and bearing with the 288xp piston.

Well after taking the cylinder off the new 660 and looking at the 395xp cylinder I would say it could be done but I don't have the tools to open the case up accurately. So down the road the 660 will go but I might keep my eye out for a cheap 395xp clone and press the crank apart and swap to a longer connecting rod if I can figure out which connecting rod I would need to be the same bearing size but 2mm longer.
