I got a Bunch of 394 & 395's from my faller buddy who is slowing down after 50 years of Cutting, I put together one nice 395 and rehabed 2 more for him that he uses daily, I had one 394 that put in a corner that I just kinda glanced at. Yesterday morning I decided to give it the once over. I found that lower front Flywheel cover was missing a screw due to the case being broke off, So I dug through a tote full of cases that had been smashed and found one with the same problem but it had a unique fix so I transferred it to the the one I was going over. Next I scrounged up a bunch of clucth covers to try and get one good one that had a handle and a working brake band. I got one pieced together and it was missing the rear stud that fits to the case for alignment, So I engineered what I think is a good fix rather than a farmer tec knock off. My Fix was running a 5 mm torx bolt through a 371 brake handle bushing into a 4.5 mm hole I drilled in the clutch cover. Keep in mind this Saws sole purpose is be functional on a minimal budget. Thanks for reading my Ramble, give me your thoughts guys, reliable Hardware is 20 miles away.
