Roll pin works fine here
9/64" from mcmaster Carr creates a better seal than 1/8" for sure. its tight in the plastic and the plastic is nice and snug against the chassis now. I really think this is fine as a slotted roll pin
however, the part Kevin was talking about is indeed spiral pin and I'm looking into that
