My 372xp is leaking a lot of bar oil under the chain cover. What would cause this if the oil hole on my bar is clear and the bar rails are clean? Could the bar not be tight enough against where the oil is dispensed from on the saw even though I have the nuts tight?

I would make sure the bar is clean on the face that matches the case first. Confirm you have the grommets on either side of the brass final line in the above ipl. I've seen them push out the one on the pump side (504300026). Then the 372 oil tank vent is between the two bar studs, it can get stuck open, usually when a case is cooked. Where the pump meets the oil tank hose can leak, however that's usually only if the pump has been removed and replaced. Good luck.
